Graston

The Graston Technique is a form of manual therapy known as soft-tissue instrument-assisted mobilization. It is one of a number of manual therapy approaches that uses instruments with a specialized form of massage/scraping the skin gently.

The body then forms stronger and more resilient fascia in conjunction with proper spinal movements to assist in the overall recovery and stability of the spine.

Calgary Graston : Century Wellness Clinic

Is a soft tissue technique using specialized stainless steel instruments to break down scar tissues and adhesions the binds the muscles, fascia to the bony structures such as the spine.  Scar tissues and adhesions are formed due injuries or abnormal motions to the structures that could be result of trauma or repetitive stress to the body.  Graston tools are used to break down these adhesions and the body will reabsorb this broken down tissue into the lymphatic system in which it will expel these wastes through urinary excretion, bowel movement, sweat and through hormonal systems.  The body then forms stronger and more resilient fascia in conjunction with proper spinal movements to assist in the overall recovery and stability of the spine.
