Graston Technique is a soft tissue technique that uses specialized stainless steel instruments that enables clinicians to effectively and efficiently address soft tissue lesions and fascial restrictions. The specialized tools help to break down scar tissue and adhesions that occur in muscles and fascia that binds to bony structures such as the spine. Scar tissue and adhesions are formed from trauma or repetitive stress to the body and limits range of motion. Graston tools are used to break down these adhesions and the body will absorb the broken down tissue into the lymphatic system which will expel the waste from body. The body then forms stronger and more resilient fascia in conjunction with proper spinal movements to assist in the overall recovery and stability of the spine.
